All of us at some time or the other have had to contend with the fishy smell of fish, after a good meal. Here are some tips on how you can get rid of this smell easily.
Vinegar removes the smell of fish from dishes, plates and glasses. Simply rub small amounts of vinegar on the dishes and then wash off as normal with soap and water.
To remove fish smell from other vessels, boil used coffee grounds (decoction) in the vessels with a little water. To remove the smell of fish from the kitchen boil half a glass of vinegar in 1 / 4 glass of water for 5 to 10 minutes in a wide saucepan.
To remove the smell of fish from your hands rub your hands with salt, limejuice or oil.
To remove the smell of fish from a frying pan, sprinkle salt on the pan, add hot water and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes before washing normally.
Chilling your hands thoroughly before handling fish will prevent the odor of fish from clinging to your skin.
Soak fish for one hour in a mixture of juice of 1 lemon with 1 cup of water. This will not only ensure that the fish will fry without any smell but also enhance the taste of the fish.
In order to remove the strong smell of raw fish, soak it for 10 minutes in a bowl of water to which a few drops of vinegar have been added.
In order to remove the smell of fish from the cutting board, rub with cut lime.
Clean fish and prawns with a little gram flour the smell will disappear.
